retain your humanity. Check. Fall in
love with the nerdy guy who watches over you who just happens to secretly work

My favorite book of 2013
Ready for it? It's Red Rising by Pierce Brown. It has all the makings of being a series that I loathe and adore. Loathe because I have to wait for the next installment, adore because the storyline is wonderfully original and well-planned. I thoroughly enjoyed the mash-up of mythology, medieval battlegrounds, and futuristic components. A great start to a series that deserves a good, long look. By far, the best book I've read this year. You just need to agree with me and read it.
